Bill is a trial lawyer. He defends individuals and entities who have been accused of violating the law, public servants who have been sued while doing their job, and businesses who need his help. Beyond that, Bill has experience litigating an array of other matters — from personal injury and whistleblower lawsuits, to voting rights and campaign finance challenges.
Bill clerked for the Honorable Gregory F. Van Tatenhove in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky — getting a front row seat to hundreds of proceedings, and becoming well acquainted with federal courts. Prior to clerking, Bill worked and lived in Washington, D.C., where he was a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) working at:
- The U.S. Department of State
- The U.S. Department of Justice
- The U.S. Attorney’s Office
- The U.S. Agency for International Development
Education:
- J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law
- Masters of Science in Democracy and Democratization from University College London, England
- B.A. in Political Science from the University of Louisville where he was Student Body President
Outside of the office, Bill takes every opportunity he can to get outside with his family, whether it be backpacking, hiking, hunting, coaching, or playing with his kids.
